HISTORY
Japanese immigrants and their children residing in the US during the late 18th century were victims of harsh racial discrimination. Among the most concerning was the ban of Japanese children in public schools.

Japanese immigrant parents wanted assurances that their children receive a quality education and thus organized to form an educational organization for their children, leading to the founding of Kinmon Gakuen.
